Kenyon Farmers Market

Posted

Sponsored by the Park and Rec Dept., the Kenyon Farmer's Market returned to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church parking lot at 309 Forest street on May 23rd. It continues to be held on the first and third Thursday of each month, with October 3rd being the final market.

The market has grown over the past few years, and welcomes new vendors. Kim Helgeson is one of the coordinators, and the Park and Rec is the host, so if you have any questions, they are here to answer them! For more information, you may also look on Face Book at Kenyon Farmer's Market page.

If you or anyone you know has items for sale, they accept homegrown/homemade/hand crafted items only. There will be no multi level marketing businesses. The opportunity to sell your qualifying items is free of charge. In attending the market, you will be supporting your friends and neighbors, and you will know the source of your purchases. Shopping local is good for the economy, and good for you!

Some of the items for sale are plant starts, produce as it comes into season, home made breads, cookies, cakes, freeze dried candy, Kitchen towels, wood craft, artwork, fresh flowers, coffees from around the world, canned jams, jellies, fruits and vegetables, and other delectable items. The parking lot is getting full, and there is so much to choose from, you just have to come down and check it out for yourself!
